15.04.2025 18:08:57 209Sergeev and Petropavl water junctions were repaired as part of flood preparations. Shugayp Ibatullin, director of "Kazsushar" branch for the North Kazakhstan region, announced this at a briefing.
The main part of the works is aimed at strengthening the coast and establishing the slope of Sergeev and Petropavl water points. In addition, in January of this year, dredging works were carried out near the Sergeev water junction dam, and 940 cubic meters of soil were taken. Also, restoration of the natural channel of the Yesil River was carried out.
"Since March 19, round-the-clock duty has been organized at Sergeev and Petropavl water points, information exchange has been conducted with interested bodies, as well as with our colleagues in the Tyumen region of the Russian Federation, on sending and collecting water from reservoirs. Since the flood began, 338.7 million cubic meters of water has flowed into the Sergeev Reservoir and 222.9 million cubic meters have been released. 45.2 million cubic meters of water came into the Petropavl Reservoir and 46.1 million cubic meters of water were sent," said Shugayp Ibatullin, director of the Kazsushar branch in the North Kazakhstan region.
