During his working visit to Ulytau region, Talgat Lastaev held a meeting with the residents of the region.

During the meeting with the residents, the Vice Minister of Transport answered the citizens' questions on road construction, railway transport, civil aviation and other directions of transport infrastructure.

During the meeting with the people, Talgat Lastaev noted that a number of major projects are planned in Ulytau region in 2025 as part of the development of road infrastructure. In particular, works on the renewal of the 208-kilometer section of the highway "Kyzylorda - Zhezkazgan". Among them, the work of transferring the road from the III technical category to the II technical category will begin. This will reduce travel time from 4 hours to 2 hours.

Besides, works on the renewal of the "Karagandy-Zhezkazgan" highway will begin, and moderate repair works on the "Zhezkazgan-Petropavl" road will continue. By the end of 2025, it is planned to install 3 units of automated measuring stations on local roads in the Ulytau region.

Also, a project is being developed to renovate the existing terminal building and build a new terminal that will accommodate 300 people per hour, and it is planned to repair the railway stations of Zhezkazgan, Zhanaarka, Karazhal, Kyzylzhar stations.

All these initiatives are aimed at improving the transport and logistics situation of the region and increasing the quality of transport infrastructure.

During the meeting, local residents raised the issues of opening the "Zhezkazgan-Aktau", "Zhezkazgan-Almaty" air flights, increasing the number of "Zhezkazgan-Astana" air flights, updating "Zhezkazgan-Astana" cars, making changes to the timetable of the "Zhezkazgan-Almaty" passenger train. He also raised the issues of building a bypass road in the city of Satbaev, building the Ulytau-Astana highway through the Shubarkol settlement, setting up automated measuring stations for transport control inspection services and trucks in the Ulytau region, and creating a trade and logistics hub in the city of Zhezkazgan.
