Preparations for spring field work are underway in the region. This year, agricultural crops are planned to be planted on 753.1 thousand hectares of land, which is 3.6 thousand hectares more than in 2024.
Agriculture diversification continues. For example, the area under wheat cultivation has decreased by 4 thousand hectares to 235,000 hectares.

Priority is given to highly profitable crops: the area of ​​oil crops is 12,700 ha, barley - 6,300 ha, buckwheat - 2,300 ha. increases by ha. As a result, the acreage of oil crops reaches 308.5 thousand hectares.

According to the operational data of district administrations, producers of agricultural goods prepared 39.6 thousand tons of seeds. Contracts were signed for the purchase of 6.6 thousand tons of elite seeds and hybrids of sunflower, corn and other crops. increased: the level of fertilizer use in the region increased to 39% of scientifically based need (previously this indicator did not exceed 5.2%). It is planned to use 63.6 thousand tons of fertilizer in 2025. Contracts with fertilizer manufacturers and suppliers are in progress.

27.5 thousand tons of diesel fuel were allocated for spring field work.

The readiness of agricultural machinery is 90%, and 100% preparation is provided before mass planting. Farmers own more than 7,800 tractors, 300 high-yield sowing complexes, 1,900 seeders and about 2,800 tillage units.

Last year, thanks to state support measures, farmers bought 513 pieces of modern agricultural equipment. bought equipment. This made it possible to update the fleet of machines and tractors by 5.9%, as well as to significantly increase labor productivity during the spring sowing and harvesting campaign. simplified lending is provided. In order to increase the volume of agricultural financing in 2025, local agrarians submitted 157 applications for a total amount of 8.1 billion tenge.
