The industrial zone that has been operating in Kostanay since 2014 has become the main driver of the region's development. This site is provided with all the necessary ready-made infrastructure, including the main gas pipeline, water pipeline, sewage, communication and power supply networks. Currently, 7 projects with a total cost of 97.4 billion tenge have been launched in the Industrial Zone of Kostanay, and more than 1,000 new jobs have been created.

Industrial areas are developing rapidly in Aktobe region as well.

For example, this year, a special economic zone with a total area of ​​858 hectares was created by the Government's decree in order to turn the base of "Aliya Moldagulova International Airport" in Aktobe into a multimodal hub. The main directions are logistics and processing industry. Also, an industrial zone with a total area of ​​150 hectares was created in the city of Khromtau. 17 projects have been implemented in the industrial zone in the region, which has been operating since 2016, and 546 new jobs have been opened. In the near future, 8 new projects will be launched and 312 jobs will be created
