ANTIMONOPOLY AUTHORITIES OF VARIOUS COUNTRIES ARE EXPANDING COOPERATION TO DEVELOP COMPETITION IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET

An international round table on the topic "Development of competition in pharmaceutical markets" was held on the basis of the Educational and Methodological Center of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia in Kazan. It was attended by representatives of anti-monopoly bodies and scientific associations of more than 20 countries.

Mira Tuyakbaeva, director of the Department of Social Affairs of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition (CCDA) took part in this event from the Republic of Kazakhstan. He made a report on the practice of antimonopoly regulation in Kazakhstan and measures being taken to develop competition in the field of pharmaceuticals.

Representatives of EAEU, CIS countries, as well as Brazil, Bolivia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, China, Myanmar, Pakistan, Turkey, Ethiopia and the Republic of South Africa discussed the practice of law enforcement, pricing issues, compulsory licensing and regulatory mechanisms of public procurement.

Within the event, BRICS countries The meetings of the Working Group on the study of competition issues in the pharmaceutical market and the Headquarters of the CIS countries on the joint investigation of violations of antimonopoly legislation were held. According to the round table, the antimonopoly regulatory bodies agreed to expand international cooperation in order to further develop competition in the pharmaceutical market.
