The presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan visited the ski cluster of Almaty


Mayor Yerbolat Dosayev showed the leaders of the states of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan the prominent peaks of Ile Alatau and told about the history of creation
Medeu dams in the Small Almaty gorge. Also, popular routes among foreign and local climbers and tourists were shown.


Then Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyev listened to the mayor's report about the largest ski resort of Kazakhstan "Shymbulak". At the moment, 5 cable cars are operating here, the total length of ski tracks is 25 km. Last year, 1.4 million people came to "Shymbulak". According to them, thanks to the developed infrastructure, quality tracks and beautiful location, the resort remains one of the best places for winter and summer vacations in Central Asia.


Also, the presidents were presented with the prospects of further development of the mining cluster of Almaty. "In Shymbulak, it is planned to expand the existing ski tracks by increasing their length by 56 km, as well as to create a new infrastructure with a length of 65 km.
