In the Republic of Kazakhstan, juvenile offenses are regulated by the Criminal and Administrative Codes.

1. Criminal liability begins at the age of 16. Minors from 14 to 16 years of age are held responsible for serious crimes (murder, rape, etc.).
2. Administrative responsibility is applied to minors for violations such as violation of public order, smoking in public places, alcohol consumption.
3. Punishment measures are simplified for minors, educational measures and restorative measures are possible.
