In the Republic of Kazakhstan, juvenile offenses are regulated by the Criminal and Administrative Codes.
- Criminal liability begins at the age of 16. Minors from 14 to 16 years of age are held responsible for serious crimes (murder, rape, etc.).
- Administrative responsibility is applied to minors for violations such as violation of public order, smoking in public places, alcohol consumption.
- Punishment measures are simplified for minors, educational measures and restorative measures are possible.
