MINISTRY OF HEALTH: APPLE OPENS ACCESS TO MEDICAL SERVICES IN KAZAKHSTAN
15.04.2025 18:31:33 231The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan successfully negotiated with representatives of Apple, as a result of which important digital services for health monitoring became available in Kazakhstan.
Previously, these services were not available in Kazakhstan, but they are successfully working in countries such as the USA, Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Australia. Now Kazakhstani users can use these advanced technologies to monitor their health.
ECG recording on Apple Watch
Owners of Apple Watch Series 6 and later models can now use the function of recording electrocardiogram (ECG). A simplified EKG takes just 30 seconds and can help detect signs of atrial fibrillation—an irregular heart rhythm that can lead to serious complications. The data is stored in the Health application and can be given to a doctor for further analysis.
Sleep Apnea Notification
With an update for Apple Watch Series 9 and later, the ability to record episodes of sleep apnea has appeared. This condition is accompanied by temporary cessation of breathing during sleep, which can lead to chronic fatigue and other health problems. Users will now receive notifications about breathing disorders at night.
New features in AirPods Pro
Users of AirPods Pro 2 and later models can now use the "Hearing Check" function. This function allows you to assess the ability to hear sounds of different frequencies and intensities, which helps to identify possible hearing problems at an early stage. The test takes about five minutes and is conducted in a quiet environment. The results are stored in the "Health" application on the iPhone or iPad, which allows you to monitor the dynamics and contact specialists if necessary.
The additional "Hearing Aid" function was available, which is intended for people with mild and moderate hearing loss. It adapts the sound played by AirPods according to the individual needs of the user, improves the perception of speech and ambient sounds. Correcting the function is carried out on the basis of the results of the hearing screening or the audiogram uploaded by the specialist.
It is important to note that these functions of the gadgets cannot be the basis for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any disease. They serve as an auxiliary means of health monitoring and do not replace consultations of qualified medical specialists.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to work on expanding the availability of modern technologies to improve the health and well-being of citizens.
