The Ministry of Internal Affairs systematically adopts legislative and organizational measures aimed at protecting the rights of citizens, as well as continues its work on strengthening the principle of "Law and Order" in society
Active use of modern digital solutions, large-scale work aimed at forming the legal awareness of young people, as well as increasing the personnel capacity of internal affairs bodies to prevent crime and violations played an important role in the case.
Since the beginning of 2025, law enforcement officers across the republic have identified more than 3.7 million administrative violations, of which 3.2 million were violations of traffic regulations. Police arrested 5,417 "drunk" drivers for violating traffic rules. Fines were imposed on 116,004 pedestrians who violated the law.
In 2024, a law was adopted on the protection of women's rights and ensuring the safety of children on the instructions of the Head of State. Criminal liability was considered for sexual touching of people under 16 years of age and incitement to suicide. In addition, it was forbidden to let children off the buses. Administrative responsibility was intended for bullying. Liability for domestic violence has been strengthened, and slight harm to health and beating have been considered as criminal offenses. 710 criminal offenses were registered in the field of family relations. Special departments aimed at protecting women and children have started working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Also, juvenile police officers, district inspectors and operative representatives of the criminal police have been assigned to each educational institution. They carry out preventive work on increasing legal literacy of children and their parents. Special attention is paid to detection and prevention of illegal activities among schoolchildren and students. Information for anonymous complaints with contact details of police officers is placed at the entrances of educational institutions.
In recent years, due to the rapid development of digital technologies, stopping the spread of illegal content in the Internet space has become one of the most important tasks. Since the beginning of the year, more than 7,000 sites advertising drugs, more than 2,000 content with extremist content, and more than 28,000 resources with signs of Internet fraud have been identified.
All these measures are aimed at protecting the constitutional rights of citizens, ensuring the rule of law, and maintaining law and order. The main goal is to prevent crimes, eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to their commission.
