A literary and creative evening dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the well-known writer Tolen Abdik was held at the I.Omarov Kazakh Drama Theater in Kostanay.

The meeting was attended by famous poets-writers, representatives of the authorities, public figures. The event was conducted by the director of the regional TV channel "Qostanai" Yerkin Mukhamedzhanov.

First, the deputy akim of the region Marat Zhundibayev read the congratulatory letter of the regional head. "Artistic works born from your pen raised Kazakh prose to a new level. Based on your stories, several films were made, plays were performed on theater stages. It is probably the true happiness of the writer to have the warm affection of the audience. You put moral qualities above all else. Distinguish between virtue and evil, good and bad, and make the reader think. You celebrated your anniversary in your hometown. This is considered a special honor for us," says Archimed Muhambetov's congratulatory letter.

Kazhygali Muhamedkali, a famous writer, laureate of the state prize, took the stage and spoke about Tolen Abdikuly's contribution to Kazakh literature.

At the end of the meeting, Zhankeldin District Mayor Shota Ospanov put a horse on the local writer and covered him with a cape. Also, Tolen presented Abdikuly with the badge "Honored Citizen of Zhankeldin District".
