OVER 1,100 ROADS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED AND REPAIRED IN TURKESTAN REGION THIS YEAR

A total of 1,103 kilometers of roads and streets will be constructed and repaired this year. It is planned that 547 kilometers will be put into use by the end of the year. Among them, 293.5 km of roads of regional importance will undergo road construction and repair works, and 105.6 km will be commissioned. Also, 159.5 kilometers of roads of regional importance are covered by complex and average repair works, and 57.5 km are planned to be put into use. By the end of the year, 418.3 km will be commissioned. Among them, 389.7 kilometers of streets in 140 settlements are being repaired under the "Village - Cradle of the Country" program. As a result, this year it is planned to increase the share of roads of local significance in good and satisfactory condition from 93.7% to 95%.

It should be noted that the total length of highways in the Turkestan region is 17,692 kilometers. Among them, there are 678 kilometers of national roads, 3,983 kilometers of regional roads, 1,726 kilometers of district roads, and 11,305 kilometers of village streets.
