F. M. "No one is born a hero: THE BATTLE OF STALINGAD IN LITERATURE" at the Dostoevsky Literary Memorial Museum dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The materials of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after Dahl are presented, the exhibition director is Dyachenko A. A.
The exposition is dedicated to the important turning point of the Great Patriotic War - the victory of the Soviet troops near Stalingrad. This battle became one of the largest and bloodiest battles in the history of the 20th century. It is not surprising that the battle that changed world history was reflected in literature.
Writers who defended this city with "weapons" in the Battle of Stalingrad also contributed to the defeat of the fascists - among them the deputy commander of the sapper battalion Viktor Nekrasov, mortar commander Yuriy Bondarev, and those who defended it "with a pen" - war correspondents Vasily Grossman, Konstantin Simonov, Yevgeny Dolmatovsky, Alexander Yashin, all of whom were not only witnesses, but also "chronologists" of the Battle of Stalingrad. Over time, their reports and writings became stories, plays, short stories, novels and even epics. The fate of these writers and their works developed in different ways. But it can be admitted that each of the pen masters was sincere and each of them had their own Stalingrad.
In the exposition of the exhibition, materials are collected about people who came close to victory, died or went through the whole war, as well as about those who bravely carried the burdens in the rear and did everything possible for the front and victory. More than 50 exhibits from the museum fund are presented in the exposition of the exhibition.
