The General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan extradited a citizen of Kazakhstan from the Kyrgyz Republic in order to bring her to criminal responsibility for committing a large-scale fraud.

In June 2023, the said person, with the connivance of a group of people, sent messages to one of the banks in Almaty city on behalf of clients to change the subscriber numbers registered to their bank accounts, thus gaining access to bank accounts. 

Now the suspect is imprisoned in a temporary detention center.

For committing the accused crime, his property is confiscated and the penalty of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years is provided.
