Preparations for the sowing campaign are being planned in the region: it is planned to sow agricultural crops on 612.7 thousand hectares. Oil crops are planted on 118,900 hectares, potatoes, vegetables and garden crops on 4,200 hectares. Fodder crops amount to 199 thousand hectares.

In the framework of preparations for planting by the fall of 2024, 91.5 thousand hectares of winter cereals were sown. Among them, 83.9 thousand hectares of winter wheat, 6.7 thousand hectares of rye and 0.9 thousand hectares of triticale were sown.

29.4 thousand tons of seeds are needed for spring field work. The region is fully supplied with the necessary seeds, they have been tested in a laboratory and are ready for planting.

8.4 thousand tons of diesel fuel were allocated for successful sowing campaign. 3,136 tractors, 2,097 seed drills, 646 cultivators and other special equipment will be involved in agricultural work.

In the framework of the implementation of the task of the head of the state to double the agricultural production, it is planned to increase the volume of mineral fertilizers in the region in accordance with scientifically based norms. In 2025, the agrarians of the region will buy 8,500 tons of fertilizer to get a high yield.

Preparations for spring planting and their implementation are being carried out strictly according to all plans. This allows to create the necessary conditions for the successful start of the agricultural season and increase of agricultural production.
