INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT NAMED BEKZAT SATTARKHANOV ENDED IN TURKESTAN
The international youth tournament dedicated to the memory of talented Turkistan boxer Bekzat Sattarkhanov, winner of the 2000 Sydney Olympics in boxing, the first recipient of the Order of the Barys, born in 2007-2008, was held at the "Olympic Center" sports complex in Turkestan. the tournament has ended. This year, more than 300 strong boxers from all regions of Kazakhstan came to the specially organized boxing competition from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and determined the winners and prize-winners during the week. According to the rules of the International Boxing Association, boys fought in the 13th weight class, while the girls entered the ring in the 6th weight class. Following the unique heroism of Bekzat Sattarkhanov, who made a name for himself in the Sydney round at the age of 20, the young people came with high training and showed all their skills in the ring round.
In the last competition full of competition, boxers of Turkestan region took to the square in all weight classes and showed all their efforts. Among our compatriots, who won bronze medals in the fight, there are talented boxers such as Abylai Dauletov at 71 kg, Ikhtiyar Aliddinov at 75 kg, Tolebai Yerubay at 86 kg, and Yaroslav Masleev at 92 kg. Eradil Uzakbay, who tested his strength at 63.5 kg, won the silver medal. Among the Turkestan wrestlers who completed the streak of such achievements, Sultan Turdaly, who did not face an opponent in 67 kg, and Adiyar Bahadur, who heated up the ring in 54 kg, made the region proud. Thus, the boys team of Turkestan region won 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Girls of Turkestan region performed successfully. Togzhan Ystybay, 63 kg, and Aym Tankibaeva, 50 kg, won bronze medals among our compatriots, while Liya Abdullaeva, 57 kg, and Nuray Kungeibay, 60 kg, won silver medals. Also, Aisulu Mukhit, a talented boxer weighing 66 kilograms, who was not tolerated by the opponent, won a gold medal. In the final, she won over Aselya Tulegenova from Uzbekistan. In the end, Turkestan girls won 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. In total, Turkestan boys and girls won 12 medals and put them in the regional basket.
The winners and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded with medals, diplomas and belts for champions. It should be noted that the scope of this international boxing competition is expanding every year, presenting talented boxers and paving the way to conquering the Olympic peak.
