✔️From April 2 to 6, the spring championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in kayaking and canoeing among adults was held on the Olympic standard rowing channel in Turkestan. This competition is considered a selection for the Asian Championship, which will be held in Nanchang, China from May 8-10.

✔️ The strongest rowers from 11 regions of the country took part in the competition. 18 athletes defended the honor of Turkestan region. According to the results of the competition, rowers of our region won 35 medals. Among them, 17 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals were collected.

✔️Olga Shmeleva, an athlete of the Turkestan regional youth and sports school, became the absolute champion in the women's kayaking championship. He won 7 gold medals at distances of 1000, 500 and 200 meters.

✔️Bekarys Ramatulla won two gold medals in men's single and double kayak at a distance of 500 meters. Artem Tereshchenko won two gold medals in double kayak and quadruple (mix). Albina Khalikova and Tatiana Gladkova won two gold medals in the women's quadruple kayak. Ulyana Kiseleva won two gold medals in double canoe at a distance of 1000 meters and in a single canoe at a distance of 200 meters. Among men, Polat Turebekov won 2 gold medals.

✔️Olga Shmeleva, Bekarys Ramatulla, Artyom Tereshchenko, Polat Turebekov and Ulyana Kiseleva from our region will compete in the Asian Championship in China. The team of Shymkent city takes the second place, the team of the Karaganda region takes the third place.
