UZBEKISTAN-KAZAKHSTAN BUSINESS FORUM WAS HELD IN TASHKENT
15.04.2025 18:42:45 231Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan business forum and trade and economic mission were organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Atameken NCP and the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan.
The Uzbek side was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The main goal of the event is to establish direct contacts, expand trade relations between Kazakhstani enterprises and potential buyers, as well as B2B holding bilateral meetings in the format.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ermek Kosherbayev noted that the three main areas of further development of trade and economic relations are the growth of trade, strengthening of investment cooperation and development of transport and logistics cooperation.
Omirbek Bashtai, the head of the department of the export promotion department of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his speech, discussed financial and export support made a detailed report on non-financial measures. Also, within the framework of his address to the people of Kazakhstan on October 6, 2018, he noted the issue of strengthening export support in accordance with the instructions of the head of state.
Within the framework of the business forum, in the B2B format, businessmen of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in various sectors of the economy: agro-industrial complex, food production, chemical industry, engineering, etc. During the business forum, presentations were made about the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, as well as joint cooperation and prospects for the further development of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It amounted to US dollars (export - 1.64 billion US dollars, import - 0.63 billion US dollars). This is 25.33% higher than in 2017 (export - 31.55%, import - 14.76%).
The main part of exports is wheat, flour, oil and gas. accounted for 26.5%, 47% of export growth.
In 2018, Portland cement produced 69.10 million 69.07 mln. to Uzbekistan. dollar worth of Portland cement was exported.
As of October 1, 2018, 2,578 legal entities and branches were registered in Kazakhstan with the participation of Uzbeks. 1331 of them are already working. src="/uploads/2019/8/2/adb639aedef975d0e2f40b743f3ec223_original.669130.jpg"/>
