The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Myrzabosynov held an important meeting with the management of the Swiss company Mabetex, which is building the National Sports University in the capital. The parties discussed the current stage of the project, the quality of construction works and the future infrastructure of the university.

After the meeting, the minister got acquainted with the construction progress of the educational institution and the plan of the first and second stages of the project. Yerbol Myrzabosynov emphasized the importance of completing the construction works with quality and on time. According to the plan, the first phase of the university will be put into operation by the end of May.

Currently, the construction works within the framework of the first phase are nearing completion. In May, a multifunctional sports complex, a stadium, an athletics arena, a swimming pool, a college building and a 500-bed dormitory will be put into operation. This is the basic infrastructure necessary to start the educational process.

When the project is fully operational, the university will include a full-fledged system of training specialists in the field of sports - from college to doctoral levels. More than 2,000 students and about 60 master's and doctoral students study here at the same time.

Erbol Myrzabosynov said that the implementation of the mentioned project will make a radical change in the sports education system in the country and open the way for the training of international-level professional personnel. This, in turn, will give an impetus to the development of tourism and sports in the country and strengthen regional and international cooperation," said the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
