The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Myrzabosynov met with one of the best representatives of the country in winter sports - short track runner Denis Nikisha and figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov. During the meeting, preparation issues for the Winter Olympics in Italy in 2026 were worked out and a special work plan aimed at strengthening the potential of the Kazakhstan national team was discussed. Nikisha and Mikhail Shaidorov are athletes who have shown high results on the world stage in the last season. This year, Denis became a two-time silver medalist of the world championship in short track, while Mikhail won gold and silver medals in four continental championships in figure skating and brought honor to the country. This support is not limited to the provision of sports facilities or the organization of training camps. Each athlete's individual characteristics, sports calendar and recovery process are taken into account, and complex support is provided according to the individual program. It also includes medical, psychological, analytical and methodological support.

At the end of the meeting, the minister highlighted the high results of the two athletes in the season and said that the main goal ahead is successful performance at the Milan Olympics.
