Currently, international air traffic from the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out on 121 air routes with a frequency of 660 flights per week with 28 countries.

The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is constantly working on opening new international air routes.

Thus, the airline "SCAT" plans to open the following new international routes from Shymkent airport this year:

  • From May 27: (Egypt), 2 flights per week;

    Shymkent - Shanghai (China), 2 flights per week;

    Shymkent - Seoul (Korea), 2 flights per week;

    • From May 30:

    Shymkent - Urumqi (China), 2 flights per week.

    Air Astana airline company also launched several new international routes. in planning:

    • openflights from March 30:

    Almaty - Guangzhou (China), 3 flights per week;

    Almaty - Nyachang (Vietnam), 2 flights per week;

    • openflights from March 31:

    Astana - Nha Trang (Vietnam), 2 flights per week;

    • Planned:
    • From April 20: Almaty – Mumbai (India), 3 flights per week;
    • From May 14: Astana – Danang (Vietnam), 2 flights per week;
    • From May 27: Atyrau – Tbilisi (Georgia), 3 flights per week;
    • From May 28: Almaty – Osh (Kyrgyzstan), 4 flights per week;
    • From May 31: Atyrau - Baku (Azerbaijan), 3 flights per week;
    • From June 1: Almaty - Frankfurt (Germany), 3 flights per week;
    • From June 4: Almaty - Da Nang (Vietnam), 2 flights per week.

    From May 1 this year, the airline "Qazaq Air" will fly to Astana - Turkestan - Samarkand it is planned to launch a new international route with a frequency of 2 flights per week.

    Airline "Fly Arystan" plans to open the following new routes this year:

    • From May 18:

    Almaty - Inin (Kulja), 2 flights per week;

    • From June 4:

    Karagandy - Istanbul (Turkey), per week 2 flights.

    Also, a number of foreign airlines are opening new flights to the Republic of Kazakhstan:

    • "Eastar Jet" (Korea):

    From April 7 Seoul-Almaty route was opened, 2 flights a week;

    In the spring-summer season of this year, Pusan-Almaty route was opened, 2 flights a week;

    • "TWay" (Korea):
    • Sharm el-Sheikh - Kostanay route opened, 1 flight per week;

      From April 13, Hurghada - Almaty route, 2 flights per week;

      • "Thai Air Asia X" (Thailand):

      In the autumn-summer season of 2025-2026, routes from Bangkok and Phuket to Almaty is planned.

      The opening of new air routes contributes to increasing the choice for passengers, strengthening competition in the air transport market. This, in turn, will have a positive effect on the price of transportation and will allow the quality of service to increase.
