CIVIL SERVICE AGENCY AND ANTI-CORRUPTION AGENCY, SYM RK and IDM RK SIGNED MEMORANDUM ON PROTECTION OF INVESTORS' RIGHTS

At the forum, other issues such as improving the investment climate, creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, protecting the rights of investors, the work of the Investment Ombudsman, fighting corruption, reducing business costs were discussed. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the action agencies. In order to prevent violations of the legislation by state bodies during the inspection of investment activity entities, the creation of a special project "Protecting Investments" is being considered for conducting joint monitoring, rapid information exchange, holding joint meetings on a regular basis.
In 2017, the Investment Ombudsman received more than 43 applications. Among them, appropriate measures were taken on 11 requests related to the protection and preservation of the rights of legal investors (issues were resolved in favor of investors). At the request of 18, recommendations were introduced, explanations were given and meetings were held to solve them. 14 applications do not fall under the jurisdiction of the investment ombudsman. They are disputes between business entities, court proceedings, etc.
In most cases, investors often encounter obstacles in the areas of tax, customs and labor legislation, licensing and land relations.
