At the initiative of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, the first group of Kazakhstani water specialists started a training course in China. Before that, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation had reached an agreement with their Chinese counterparts.

30 specialists in the first group. 3 more groups of 25 people will study in China. A total of 105 water specialists will attend the two-week advanced training courses in the neighboring country.

It should be noted that the training course was organized by the Chinese side at its own expense and no funds were allocated for the event from the state budget. China has advanced technologies in the field of water management, so studying the experience of this country will help to develop the water sector of our country. In addition, our ministry is actively negotiating with other states to organize such courses. Until now, several water specialists have been educated in France and Japan", said Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurlan Aldamzharov.

Remember, in March of this year, for the first time, the water departments of Kazakhstan and China signed a Memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation in the field of water resources. The document envisages strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of rational and sustainable use of water resources, introduction of modern technologies, allocation and development of alternative water sources, as well as exchange of experience and joint specialist training.
