In line with the instructions of the Head of State, the Anti-Corruption Agency continues its efforts to uphold the principles of legality and public order, as well as to suppress incidents of corruption.

The Anti-Corruption Service in Astana is investigating a criminal case against the former Deputy Director of the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture on suspicion of committing a serious corruption offense.

He is suspected of unlawfully involving an affiliated company in the repair of official vehicles, through which he embezzled and laundered budget funds, causing damage to the state amounting to over KZT 3 mln.

The investigation is in progress.

In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code, no further information is subject to disclosure in the interest of the investigation.

According to subparagraph 1 of paragraph 3 of Article 77 of the Constitution and part 1 of Article 19 of the Criminal Procedure Code, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court verdict that has entered into legal force.
