On April 14, the Akmola Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Magzhan Zhumabayev hosted the opening of the Kitap avenge festival "Kitap – ulttyn rukhani tiregi", dedicated to April 23 – National Book Day.. This new holiday date appeared in connection with the instruction of the Head of State given at the main session of the third National Kurultai in order to form a high culture of reading in society.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the kurultai, stressed the importance of the love of books and noted that many countries have introduced national days dedicated to reading and books. “First of all, we must instill in young people a love of reading. This is the only way we will become a reading nation,” the president said, emphasizing the importance of this cultural aspect.
       In this regard, a decade dedicated to this event will be held at the Magzhan Zhumabayev AOUNB.

On the first day of the decade  A meaningful tour took place in the Regional Library, the guests of the event were introduced to the library halls and exhibitions. Today, an exhibition of paintings by students of the Children's Art School dedicated to the legends of the Kazakh people unfolded in the lobby of the second floor, a film dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory was shown in the Saken sere Zhunusov conference hall, as well as students of gymnasium No. 11, No. 2 and police officers  The Police Department of the city of Kokshetau got acquainted with the book exhibition dedicated to this date. The AOUNB also prepared photos of the zone, which did not go unnoticed by the guests of the event.
