Budapest, April 12, 2025 - The Nauryz holiday was celebrated with a special sense of anticipation in Budapest. The celebration had a special character and was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Hungary for Kazakh students studying in higher educational institutions abroad, compatriots, as well as Kandas, who were presented with a festive treat.

The Hungarian-Kazakh Cultural Organization, the Hungarian-Kazakh Barys Foundation and the "Qazaq Reading Club" organization led by Kazakh students took part in the event.

It can be said that Nauryz, symbolizing the unity of peoples, renewal, rebirth of nature and man, was celebrated on the territory of the Embassy, and thus on the land of Kazakhstan. In honor of the holiday, a Kazakh corner was presented to the public, telling about the traditions and national values of our people.

Abzal Saparbekuly, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hungary opened the holiday with a welcoming speech. He congratulated the guests on the occasion of Nauryz and wished them all the best.

Dear compatriots! I congratulate you all on the occasion of the great holiday! Nauryz, which is closely associated with Mother Nature, symbolizes the beginning of renewal and creativity, harmony and unity. The holiday, which is celebrated for a whole month, has reached its logical end in Budapest," he said.

After the Ambassador's speech, the opening ceremony of the Nauryz holiday began, where the gathered guests participated in various national games such as asyk atu, langa, competed among themselves, sang songs and performed national dances. Excerpts from Abay's words of exhortation were read. In addition, the performance of Kazakh and Hungarian songs by Hungarian singers Tamás Palcsó and Anna Virág won the hearts of the audience. The performances expressed the manifestation of friendship among peoples and cultural harmony.

It should be noted that the Hungarian guests of the event were able to get acquainted with the richest traditions and cultural heritage of our people. All present tasted Nauryz kozhe and enjoyed Kazakh national cuisine.

As we all know, Nauryz means "new day." Since the great day of the country is a new day, it's a perfect opportunity to make new things, feel joy, and receive blessings.

During the Nauryz holiday, we all come together to sing, play music, and recite poems. It's a time when everyone's spirits are lifted. It's a time when everything is organized together, and everyone comes together as a community.

On this great day of the country, everyone forgives past offenses and grievances, welcomes each other as guests, and gives gifts. Kazakhs in Hungary have not deviated from this tradition and celebrate a holiday that promotes the unity of the Kazakh people. This holiday has a great impact on the consciousness of future generations, glorifying our national values, Kazakh customs and traditions, documenting the history of our people and passing it on to the younger generation.
