The Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Kazakhstan and Pakistan held a meeting in Dushanbe
18.04.2025 04:52:23 1996Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with the Auditor-General of Pakistan, Muhammad Ajmal Gondal. The negotiations took place during the 7th meeting of the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the SCO member states in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in such areas as the exchange of practical experience, the introduction of best audit methods and practices, the digitalization of audit procedures, etc.
Alikhan Smailov noted that the Supreme Audit Chamber and the Office of the Auditor-General have long-standing close relations both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of major international organizations, including the SCO.
“In 2024, we successfully conducted a parallel audit in the field of agriculture. We thank our colleagues from Pakistan for their active cooperation in this area,” said the Chairman of the SAC.
He also recalled that last year the institutions of the two countries were elected members of the ASOSAI Governing Board.
“I am confident that our cooperation will continue to strengthen for the benefit of our countries,” Alikhan Smailov added.
