"History lesson of the great Kazakh scientist"
(dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Shokan Ualikhanov)

On 04/15/2025, employees of the State Archive of the Beimbet Mailin district, head L. Krupoderova and archivist M. Shishmagambetova, conducted a "History lesson of the great Kazakh scientist" for pre-school classes of the Beimbet Mailin Secondary School for the 190th anniversary of Shokan Ualikhanov.
During the lesson, the students got acquainted with the biography of the great Kazakh scientist, orientalist, historian, geographer, journalist, traveler.
Shokan Ualikhanov is the first professional encyclopedic scientist in the history of Kazakh science, a traveler and orientalist who discovered Kazakh culture to the world.
His expeditions and research in the field of Kazakh history, ethnography and folklore are of great scientific value, especially his report on Koshgaria, which became the first scientific work on the history and geography of this region.
Despite his short life (1835-1865), Ualikhanov made a significant contribution to science, proving the unity of the Kazakh people in all zhuzes and actively participating in public life, protecting the interests of ordinary people.
