Brasilia, June 5, 2025 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Bolat Nussupov met with Ambassador of Ecuador to Brazil Carlos Alberto Velastegui, during which the parties discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The Ambassador congratulated his Ecuadorian counterpart on the re-election of President Daniel Noboa and thanked him for the invitation to his inauguration. The agenda of the talks also included organizational and substantive aspects of the first round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, scheduled for this year in Quito.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan announced the issuance of a consular patent to the first Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Ecuador, Mr. Leopoldo Ocampo, and thanked his interlocutor for his support in this matter. In this context, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing the official opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Quito this year.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue work on the official accreditation of their diplomatic missions in the two countries and maintain constant working contact.
