On April 16, 2025, the republican scientific and practical conference "Sh.Ulikhanov Tyn gylym murasy zhane olke tarikhyn ozekti maseleri" on the 190th anniversary of Sh.Ualikhanov dedicated to the International Day of Monuments and Historical Sites.

The life and work of Shokan Ualikhanov is a cultural phenomenon and a whole epoch not only for the Kazakh people. The multifaceted scientific activity of the great enlightener is the subject of study by Turkologists, historians, ethnographers, ethnologists, and philologists from many countries.

At the IV session of the National Kurultai, which was held in Burabay, the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that "It is necessary to comprehensively and methodically promote our historical and cultural heritage, adapting it to the realities of the 21st century. Scientific research, restoration of historical monuments, archaeological excavations, development of museum business, study of foreign archives, revival of national traditions - all this great work should be systematized."

Following this, at the scientific and practical conference, in accordance with the directions of the event, reports were presented by scientists, historians, archaeologists from the cities of Astana, Kokshetau, Karaganda, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Ulytau regions, who widely highlighted the activities of researcher, ethnographer, orientalist, historian Shokan Ualikhanov, about his great contribution to world history. As well as about the prospects for the development of the predictive function of history, archeology, methods, approaches and solutions in the field of preservation and protection of historical and cultural heritage monuments.   

It should be noted that archaeology, as a science that studies the past on the basis of the material remnants of human society, is one of the most important components of historical science, and plays an important role in this. Research work on archaeological sites and archaeological projects are always relevant. Their relevance lies in the fact that when studying archaeology, young people not only theoretically, but also practically, directly during the organization of field practices, excursions to archaeological sites, touch the past of our country. The interaction of archeology and historical local lore makes it possible to educate the younger generation to realize the historical and cultural value of their native land and form the foundations of the historical and cultural thinking of the younger generation, i.e. their understanding of the interrelationship of territories in historical development, the significance and importance of studying the past of mankind.
