On April 15, 2025, the First Informal Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in Budapest (Hungary). The Kazakh delegation was headed by Kairat Jumagulov, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

      The participants discussed issues related to the development of customs cooperation, the introduction of the eTIR system and the approval of draft Technical Conditions for the exchange of information between the OTS states.

      Particular attention was paid to Hungary's experience in the field of digitalization and customs reforms, as well as its role in the OTS.

      Following the meeting, Technical Conditions were signed for the exchange of preliminary information between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Customs Service of the Republic of Türkiye. This will speed up the movement of goods and strengthen border controls.

     The State Revenue Committee informs that the 11th meeting of the Heads of the Customs Administrations of the OTS will be held in September 2025 in the city of Turkestan, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
