Kazakhstan has sent humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan

Kabul, April 17 - On April 17, 2025, an official ceremony of handing over Kazakh humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan was held at the Hairaton railway station (Balkh Province).

The cargo includes wheat flour, vegetable oil, rice groats, blankets, tents, with a total volume of 2,255 kg.

The ceremony was attended by Gaziz Akbassov, Head of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan, Burhanuddin Khan, Head of the International Relations Department of the National Emergency Management Agency of Afghanistan, as well as the administration of Balkh province.

G. Akbassov noted the commitment of the Government of Kazakhstan to its humanitarian policy, which consists in providing regular assistance to the brotherly Afghan people.

The Afghan side expressed gratitude to the President and the people of Kazakhstan for their support and humanitarian assistance. Also, giving a speech of thanks, the representative of the emergency management agency of Balkh province noted that the volume of humanitarian aid provided by the official authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan significantly exceeds other countries providing similar support to Afghanistan.

During this ceremony, the Kazakh side announced the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan S.Zhumangarin to Kabul, which will take place from April 21 to 23 this year.

Within the framework of S.Zhumangarin's visit, it is also planned to transfer the second part of humanitarian aid in the form of medicines and medical devices.
