Kazakhstan Ambassador met with Former President of North Macedonia

Skopje, April 15, 2025 – Kazakhstan Ambassador Satybaldy Burshakov met with former President of North Macedonia Gheorghe Ivanov (2009-2019).

During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed G.Ivanov on the main directions of the country's political and socio-economic development, as well as prospects for expanding Kazakh-Macedonian cooperation.

S.Burshakov paid special attention to Kazakhstan's initiative to hold an annual Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The Ambassador spoke in detail about the concept and participants of this international platform.

Warmly recalling his visit to Astana in 2010 for participating at the OSCE Summit and the state visit in 2012, G.Ivanov welcomed the opening of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Skopje and supported the idea of creating a community of friends of Kazakhstan in North Macedonia.

The politician spoke about the activities of the International Center Alliance of Civilizations (ICAC), its importance and facilities. Taking into account the directions of his Foundation's work, G.Ivanov expressed interest in activities of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

At the end of the meeting, Former President G.Ivanov sincerely wished Kazakhstan stability, social harmony and further prosperity.
