Today, the akim of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, met with the renowned Kazakh poet, public figure, and Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Shakhanov. The head of the region expressed gratitude to the poet for his visit and highlighted his significant contribution to the spiritual and cultural life of the country.
"First of all, dear Mukhtar aga, I sincerely congratulate you on being awarded the high title of Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan by the Decree of the Head of State. We believe this award is a fitting recognition of your invaluable contribution to the spiritual and cultural development of independent Kazakhstan. Works such as 'Zhubailar zhyry,' 'Tugan kun keshinde,' 'Gul dauren,' 'Men sagan gashyk edim,' and many others have resonated widely with the people and have secured a lasting place in the hearts of readers.
Your works have been translated into more than 50 languages and are performed in theaters both in our republic and abroad. For your immense contribution to the development of national spirituality, you have received the Otan Order, the title of People's Writer of Kazakhstan, People's Poet of the Kyrgyz Republic, and other honorary awards. Residents of our region have always held you in deep respect and honor, and will continue to do so. I wish you creative longevity, good health, and well-being for your family. Long life!" said the head of the region.
Today, the residents of Kyzylorda will have the opportunity to enjoy a performance based on the poet's work "Tanakoz," which will be presented at the State Drama and Comedy Theater named after Azerbaijan Mambetov. At the end of the meeting, the head of the region conveyed sincere respect on behalf of all residents to Mukhtar Shakhanov and his wife, Khanshaim Kokenkyzy.
Additionally, an inspiring meeting with young people took place today at the Youth Resource Center, where participants read the poet’s heartfelt, life-affirming poems, as well as their own works dedicated to him.
