Kazakh Ambassador Meets with Kazakh Students in Athens

Athens, April 17, 2025 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Hellenic Republic hosted a traditional meeting between Ambassador Timur Suleimenov and Kazakh students studying at higher education institutions in Greece.
During the conversation, the Head of the Diplomatic Mission briefed the students on the history of Kazakh-Greek relations, the stages of establishment of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Athens, and the current priorities of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy and economic cooperation in the region and with Greece.
Special attention was paid by the Ambassador to the importance of youth as a strategic resource of the country. He emphasized that the President and the Government of Kazakhstan attach great importance to the development of the younger generation’s potential. In this context, he inquired about the students’ fields of study, living conditions, adaptation processes, and professional plans for the future.
Daily issues faced by Kazakh students abroad were also discussed. The Ambassador stressed the importance of each student feeling supported by the state and being part of a unified national community. He assured that the Embassy is always open to students’ requests and ready to provide necessary support, and that it will continue the practice of regular meetings with youth.
At the end of the meeting, the most active and outstanding students were presented with Letters of Appreciation on behalf of the Embassy in recognition of their contributions to student life, participation in cultural events, and promotion of Kazakh culture abroad.
“While living abroad, each of you is a cultural diplomat, an Ambassador of your country. You introduce Greek citizens to our history and traditions, demonstrating Kazakhstan’s potential and the strength of its youth,” said Timur Suleimenov.
Participants expressed gratitude for the support and attention, and showed keen interest in participating in the Embassy’s future initiatives and events.
