For the first time, the competition was held in person in the presence of the Chairman of the AIFC Court, Lord Burnett Maldonsky, who previously served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
The AIFC Court Sessions Competition has been held for the seventh year in a row, becoming an integral part of the educational programs of leading law schools in Kazakhstan and the countries of the Eurasian region. Students taking part in the competition analyze complex legal problems, study the principles of common law, prepare written statements and present their arguments before the judges.
This competition provides law students with a unique opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge within the framework of a simulated trial based on the norms of English common law.
