On April 18, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to the city of Aktau. During the trip, the Head of State held a number of meetings with local government officials, reviewed the region's socio-economic development, and took part in a solemn event honoring servicemen who demonstrated exceptional courage in the line of duty.

One of the key moments was the awarding of the state decoration — the medal “For Combat Valor” («Жауынгерлік ерлігі үшін») — to Private First Class Nurgazy Tashinbekov, senior specialist of the 1st operational platoon of the combat support company, military unit 3502, "Batys" Regional Command of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He was honored with this award for his outstanding personal merits, as well as for demonstrating courage, determination, and professionalism in the execution of his combat-related duties.

Personally presenting the award, the President emphasized that the patriotism, spirit, and bravery of such servicemen strengthen the overall combat morale and serve as a model for others. He expressed confidence that Kazakhstan’s army will continue to be a guarantor of national security and stability.

After receiving the medal, Private First Class Nurgazy Tashinbekov, visibly moved, shared his thoughts with journalists:

— Receiving this medal directly from the President is a tremendous honor and great responsibility. I see this award not only as a personal recognition but also as a testament to the work of all our troops. We serve together, carry out missions together, and every one of us is ready to stand strong for the safety of our country.
I’m sincerely grateful for such high recognition. It inspires, empowers, and motivates me even more to serve with dignity. I’m proud to wear the uniform of the National Guard. I will continue doing my best to live up to this trust. I serve the Republic of Kazakhstan!

The Head of State thanked the troops for their service and wished them good health, well-being, and continued success in fulfilling their duties.

It is worth noting that the National Guard is tasked with maintaining law and order, guarding critical state facilities and transporting special cargo, as well as participating in emergency response and disaster relief efforts.
