The Department of the Financial Monitoring Agency in Almaty has suppressed the activities of the financial pyramids “Warner Bros,” “Roborock,” and “NFT+TRX.”

The organizers of the pyramid scheme convinced investors to put money into projects under the pretense of earning high profits from watching trailers.

The scheme consisted of 9 levels, with the average investment amounting to 225,000 tenge. Payments were accepted exclusively in the USDT cryptocurrency.

For example, under the “Warner Bros” project, investors registered through a dedicated app, purchased access with cryptocurrency, and allegedly received rewards for watching trailers as well as for recruiting new investors.

During the investigation, cryptocurrency wallets used for collecting and transferring investor funds were identified.

By court order, crypto assets amounting to 3.8 million USDT have been seized.

Other information is not subject to disclosure in accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
