Riyadh, April 13, 2025 – As part of the Human Capability Initiative forum held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University named after Ozbekali Zhanibekov (SKPU) and King Khalid University. This document became one of the first agreements between higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.

The memorandum was signed by Professor Gulzhan Sugirbayeva, Acting Chair of the Board – Rector of SKPU, and Dr. Faleh Al-Sulami, President of King Khalid University. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Madiyar Menilbekov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Yerzhan Kerimbekov, Vice-Rector of SKPU, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement opens new horizons for academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries, promoting knowledge exchange, joint research, and educational programs. The signing of the memorandum represents an important step in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing the initiative to develop human potential within the framework of global educational strategies.
