Karaganda region produced industrial products worth 1 trillion tenge in three months

The Karaganda region maintains positive dynamics of economic development. Since the beginning of the year, the growth has been almost 13%. The increase is noted in all key indicators: industrial and agricultural production, investment, construction, trade, etc.
The results of the socio-economic development of the region in January-March were reported at a staff meeting.
– The growth rate of the region's economy has reached 12.9%. Industrial products were produced by 1 088.7 billion tenge, which is 15.1% more than in the same period last year. Growth was achieved in mechanical engineering, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, the production of rubber and plastic products, the construction industry, chemical and light industry, and food production. In the mining industry, volumes increased by 12.7%, and growth was achieved in the extraction of coal and metal ores," said Tatyana Ablaeva, Head of the Economics Department.
Over three months, 165 billion tenge of investments were attracted. Increased investments in agriculture, manufacturing, construction, trade, and education.
According to the head of the Department of Industry and Industrial and Innovative development, Askar Gazaliev, by the end of the year, it is planned to implement more than 30 investment projects, 17 of which are in industry, with the creation of 2.7 thousand jobs. The construction of two new plants will be completed in the Saran industrial zone: hot-dip galvanizing and production of straight-seam steel pipes. The Silk Road Electronics factory will start producing Samsung TVs and washing machines. In the Osakarovka district, the Hyperborey company will introduce the first wind farm with a capacity of 150 MW.
Housing construction was also reported at the meeting. Since the beginning of the year, almost 54 thousand square meters have been commissioned. To provide waiting lists from socially vulnerable categories, apartments are purchased on the primary market. Funds have been allocated from the national budget for these purposes.
Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev gave instructions to ensure the planned indicators. One of the main tasks is to attract investments and provide employment for residents, the head of the region emphasized.
