Reconstruction of four railway stations in the West Kazakhstan region

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.Tokayeva, in the West Kazakhstan region, work has begun on the reconstruction of four railway stations. The reconstruction is being carried out as part of a large-scale program to modernize the railway infrastructure. The work will cover the stations in Uralsk, Aksai, Chingirlau and at the Semiglavy Mar station. All the facilities have historical significance and play an important role in ensuring transport accessibility and mobility of the population in the region. Today, there are 14 trains serving 7 routes in the region. The largest facility will be the railway station in Uralsk, built in 1983. Its area is 5,716.1 m2, and its capacity is up to 900 passengers per day. Aksai railway station built in 1937, Semiglavy Mar station, built in 1916, and Chingirlau (built in 1936) are also included in the project.
