On April 23, the implementation of one of the largest transport projects in Almaty, the BRT line, will begin on Rayymbek Batyr Avenue. The project will be the first in Almaty, where the street will be transformed across its entire width — from building to building, including all layers of infrastructure: roads, sidewalks, green areas and building facades, creating a comfortable and modern urban environment.
How will the construction take place?
The project is divided into 3 sections:
•Pushkin ave. Seifullina Ave. (1.8 km)
•Seifullina Ave. — Akhrimenko St. (7.2 km)
•Akhrimenko St. — Altyn Orda St. (7.5 km)

•Site 3 — Progress KZ LLP

The construction is divided into 2 stages:
Stage I: Construction and installation works will take place from April 21 to June. At this stage of the work, the roadway will be affected: one rightmost lane will be restricted, and traffic will continue in three lanes in each direction.
The following will be performed:
•installation of irrigation ditches and drainage network
•setting new stops
•installation of the irrigation system
•transfer of engineering communications
Stage II: The laying of new asphalt, marking and updating of traffic lights will start in June. Landscaping of sidewalks, green areas, bike paths, children's and sports grounds will begin.
The pavement will be updated along the entire width of the roadway, with partial traffic closures for up to 36 hours (according to the quarterly scheme). During this period, reverse movement will be organized. This temporary detour scheme has proved successful in the average repair of al-Farabi and Abaya streets.
How will the comfort of the citizens be organized during the construction period?
During the construction work, everything will be done to ensure that residents and visitors of the city feel a minimum of inconvenience and can safely move around the project area.
For pedestrians:
•Convenient walking routes will be set up along the repaired areas
•Fences, ramps and reflective elements will be installed for safety at night and accessibility for groups with limited mobility.
For passengers of public transport:
•Temporary bus shelters will be set up for the duration of the work, as close as possible to the usual routes.
The main goal is to maintain the usual rhythm of life in the area, even during the period of active construction. When is the completion?
The main works are planned to be completed by the end of 2025.

Information about ongoing work, closures, and changes in traffic patterns will be continuously provided through the Almaty_Joly Telegram channel, Akimat's social networks, as well as through the 2GIS and
Yandex Maps services. Given that this avenue is an important transport artery for vehicles from the region, information will also be provided among residents of the suburban area.
