In 2025, the national environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" will last for five weeks, with each week dedicated to a specific environmental issue. The theme of the week from April 21 to 27 is “Zhasyl aimak”("Green Area"), which draws attention to the issue of urban and rural greening.

The East Kazakhstan Library for Children and Youth also participated in this initiative. On April 24, the library hosted the greening campaign “Zhasyl kenistik – bolashakka salyngan zhol”("Green Space – A Road to the Future"), aimed at engaging children and youth in environmental protection and fostering ecological culture. The event also contributed to the development of the library's park area, which helps clean the air, mitigates the effects of urban heat, and creates a space for relaxation and interaction with readers.

The event was attended by library readers, representatives of public organizations, creative groups, and the media. The campaign began with a performance by the students of the children's dance studio "Kerim-ai". A theatrical composition titled “Zher ana” ("Mother Earth") and a musical flash mob by the youth served as motivating factors for the participants, encouraging them to contribute to the greening of the library's territory.

During the campaign, seedlings of fir trees and other tree species were planted. Library readers, together with staff, carefully planted young trees in the soil. It is hoped that over time, the library's park will transform into a blooming garden.

This thought was echoed by one of the active library users, Ali Ermekuly: "We approached this campaign with responsibility and are confident that these trees will become a garden and serve future generations."

A thematic book exhibition highlighted the vital need to preserve nature, its wealth, and diversity. Illustrated encyclopedias and other popular science publications were displayed here.

The greening campaign concluded with a fun and educational
