During the night of April 24, 2025, water levels along the coastal area near Teplichnoye village in the North Kazakhstan Region rose to a height comparable to the previously constructed dam.

To prevent a potential overflow and minimize the risk of flooding in residential areas, cadets of the Academy of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan promptly began reinforcing and elevating the protective embankment.

The work is being carried out around the clock in two shifts of 200 personnel each, under the supervision of the Academy’s head, Colonel Artur Tokushev. Cadets are continuously filling sandbags with inert material and placing them along the dam.

Thanks to the coordinated and decisive actions of the personnel, all necessary measures are being taken to prevent water from spreading into the populated area.

The National Guard Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan remains actively involved in flood mitigation efforts, ensuring the safety and protection of citizens.
