In the 1st quarter of this year, the Akimat of Kostanay region held a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Prevention of Offenses under the Akimat of Kostanay region, which addressed one of the pressing issues of road safety.

Despite the measures taken to reduce traffic accidents, improve road infrastructure, and allocate significant funds, there is an increase in traffic offenses in the region by the end of 2024.

The head of the region listened to the akims of a number of regions and interested authorities, and instructed them to strengthen measures to ensure road safety.

Also, he focused the attention of the akims of cities and districts on the creation of transport infrastructure.

The Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts for Kostanay region, together with the Regional Police Department and the Akimat of Kostanay, was instructed to develop a Roadmap for the modernization of the regional center's road infrastructure for 2025-2030.
