Mining is one of the oldest human activities and one of the most in demand today. The mining and metallurgical complex of the country, being the locomotive of the economy, requires not only investments and technologies, but also highly qualified specialists. Here, Rudn Industrial University demonstrates impressive results, confirming its status as a leading university in the field of mining and metallurgy.  The triumph of the RIU students at the Republican Olympiad is proof of the high level of staff training. In April 2025, students of the Higher School of Metallurgy and Mining of Rudn University performed brilliantly at the Republican Subject Olympiad on the educational program "Mining Engineering", organized by Satbayev University (Almaty). The results speak for themselves.:  - 1st place - Danila Sharkovsky (cash prize of 100,000 tenge),  - 3rd place - Arystan Suyinbek (cash prize of 50,000 tenge). By tradition, in 2026 the city of Rudny will host the Republican Olympiad in Mining specialties.  The victory of the miners is not an accident, but a pattern: the Mining educational program has been leading the Atameken NPP rating for four years. Currently, RIU has become the best choice for future mining engineers due to the 100% employment of graduates, cooperation with leading mining companies and the created ecosystem for talent development. The victories of the RIU students confirm that Kazakhstani universities train world-class specialists. With the growth of the mining industry and its technological transformation, such personnel are a key resource for the country's future.
