On the eve of a momentous event — the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War — the East Kazakhstan Regional Library for Children and Youth organized a literary and musical composition titled "Erlik Danky - zhenis tany"("Glory of Heroism – Dawn of Victory") in the city park named after Zhambyl Zhabayev.

With the aim of introducing the younger generation to the historical and heroic legacy of the people through reflection on their feats during the Great Patriotic War, library staff performed heartfelt poems by Kazakhstani poets and songs about the war.

The schoolchildren who attended the event were not just spectators but active participants: they recited poems on stage, spoke about Kazakhstani war heroes, and enthusiastically answered questions in a patriotic quiz.

Teachers also took part in the event: using the open microphone, they expressed gratitude to those who gave their lives for future generations.

The book exhibition "Uly Zhenis – urpakka amanat" ("Great Victory – a Legacy for Generations"), which featured works of fiction about the Great Patriotic War, told both children and adults about the heroic deeds of Soviet people on the front lines and in the home front for the sake of their Motherland.
