On February 25, 2025, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the International Mother Tongue Day, at the initiative of the Department of Culture of the Akimat of Kostanay region, a solemn presentation of the textbook "Ana tili", intended for the study of ethnic languages, took place. The textbook was developed by order of the Committee for Language Policy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Scientific and Practical Center "Til-Kazyna" named after Sh. Shayakhmetov. The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, non-governmental organizations, mass media, higher educational institutions, ethno-cultural associations and members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, issues of implementing language policy in the region, promoting the native languages of ethnic groups were discussed, and the structure and features of the new textbook were presented. Representatives of ethnic and cultural associations expressed gratitude to local executive bodies for supporting the study of native languages and emphasized the role of the Kazakh language in strengthening the unity of the people. The textbook "Ana tili", intended for teaching Armenian, Bashkir and Korean languages, is recommended for use in the educational process. The authors of the textbook were thanked, and at the end of the event, the artists of the regional Philharmonic named after Ye. Umurzakov was presented with a concert program. Language is the spiritual wealth of the nation! Raising the status of the state language and supporting the native languages of ethnic groups is the key to interethnic harmony in our country.
