On May 3 of the current year, a mini-football tournament was organized among the religious associations of the Almaty region to coincide with the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan.

The sports event held within the framework of the Club of Leaders of Religious Associations of the Almaty region brought together followers of the Islamic, Orthodox, Catholic, Baptist and Presbyterian religious faiths. A total of 8 teams from different religions took part in the competition.

During the competitive game aimed at strengthening inter-religious peace and harmony, the participants were able to show a special example of friendship.

According to the results of the tournament organized by the Department of Religious Affairs of Almaty region, valuable prizes were awarded to the winning teams, and incentive prizes to other participants.
