On the occasion of the Great Victory Day, social assistance was provided to the families of front-line workers and veterans of the Second World War in Turkestan.

In particular, one-time social assistance in the amount of 50,000 tenge was fully paid to 255 frontline workers and 9 disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

According to the data, more than 20,000 citizens of Turkestan went to the Great Patriotic War, and more than 12,000 of them returned home safely. Among the citizens who showed a bright example of heroism and bravery, 7 of our countrymen were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. However, their bravery and self-sacrificing struggle for a peaceful life will remain forever in the memory of generations. In this direction, various social assistances and a number of benefits are provided to veterans and their families every year. In addition, they visited veterans' homes and presented congratulations and letters of thanks. The measures of social support by the city management and local executive bodies will continue on a regular basis.

The heroic work and love of our veterans is an immeasurable legacy for today's generation. The Great Victory is a symbol of eternal honor, not one day.
