According to the results of the survey conducted by the Institute of Strategic Studies of Kazakhstan, 73.3 percent of citizens believe that our country is developing in the right direction. The highest level of support for state initiatives is among young people - 82% of respondents aged 18-29 supported it. Interestingly, women are more optimistic about the country's development (75.3%) than men (71.1%). An important indicator of the public mood is the people's trust in the President of the country. According to the results of the public opinion survey, 76.4% of the country's population expressed confidence in the Head of State. A high level of confidence in the president was observed among young people - 84.6%, among women - 78.1% (men - 74.5%). There is no significant difference in the level of trust of rural and urban residents - 76.8% and 76.1%, respectively. At the same time, more than half of the respondents - 60.8% assess the development future of the country in the next five years as "very correct" and "somewhat correct". This social optimism is also reflected in indicators of public mood, such as life satisfaction. "In general, how satisfied are you with your life?" 57.3% of the respondents said they were "completely satisfied" and 32.8% answered "somewhat satisfied". Respondents also noted that they prefer to receive information about the country's politics, economy and public life from online media (30.3%) and social networks (34.7%). The study, which involved 8,000 respondents over the age of 18, covered 17 regions and 3 cities of republican importance. The survey was conducted between March 20 and April 20, 2025, using sample personal interviews (CAPI) that reflect the socio-demographic structure of the population.
